WELCOME TO THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF DOVER
Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Our church is indeed deeply rooted, having been chartered in 1714! We are a part of the mainline denomination known as the Presbyterian Church (USA). Our life together as a community of faith is grounded in our weekly worship which is rich in tradition as well as open to new expressions. Our worship is greatly enhanced by our music ministry, including a chancel choir, an intergenerational choir, a children's choir and two bell choirs. Our gratitude to God keeps us continually reaching out to our community both near and far, as we answer Christ's call to serve.
We invite you to come and worship with us! We welcome all to our fellowship and look forward to getting to know you.

Wonderful Wednesdays Return!!
Beginning September 15, we will come together for six weeks of WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS!!
As we did last year, we continue to build on the existing schedule for children’s choir, so that there is no change for their start time. Their parents are invited to come and visit with one another during the rehearsal time. The proposed schedule looks like this:
5:00 pm Children’s Choir Rehearsal (with Mr. Bob!)
5:15 pm Bring a snack to share and chat with friends before dinner
5:30 pm Catered dinner for everyone
6:00 pm Classes for children, youth, adults
6:45 pm See you next week!
The meal will be provided! We will have suggested donation amounts, but any donation will be appreciated to offset the cost of food. Meals will be simple, and will include a child-friendly option.
For the 2010-2011 Wonderful Wednesday fall and spring sessions we will be focusing on bible study, more specifically, 8 core stories that tell the basic story of how God has been active in times past. In the fall we will look at these stories from the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament):
God’s Call
The Exodus
The Sinai Covenant
The Promised Lane
Davidic Rule
In the spring (during Lent) we will move to the New Testament and study:
1.Jesus’ Life
2.The Cross
3.Resurrection Life
These stories will be studied at all age levels. The adults will have a student book ($13) which will cover both fall and spring studies. The materials are published by Logos.
You are invited to join us on Wonderful Wednesdays! Sign-up sheets will be provided so we can plan for the dinners and books. Please come for food, fellowship and faith formation.
